THREE local companies took on a challenge with a difference earlier this month when they joined forces for an inter-company sports and fun day.
Around 90 employees from High Wycombe companies Instron Ltd, CompAir and Allergan Ltd pitted their wits and muscles against each other in a number of events including baseball, volleyball, five-a-side football and It's a Knock-Out.
There were also children's and adult races for the 300 family and friends who came to support the teams at BroomWade's sports and social club in Hughenden Valley.
"It was a massive success," said Jackie Mountjoy, part of the HR team at Instron. "It's the first time we have done this and the aim was to build inter-company relationships through the sports and social clubs.
"It will definitely now be an annual event."
Although Instron was the winner of many of the events, it was the CompAir team who were successful at the male tug-of-war and the coveted soccer cup went to Allergan.
