INDEPENDENT toy retailer The Entertainer had two reasons to celebrate earlier this month the company's 20th anniversary and the official opening of its 60,000 sq ft new head office and warehouse complex.
The company has now moved to its new home on the Boughton Business Park, Little Chalfont, which is four times the size of its former base in Penn Street.
Among the 200 guests who attended the opening on July 6 were George Marks, former owner of the Pram & Toy Bar in Sycamore Road, Amersham, which became The Entertainer's first shop in 1981, and toy industry representatives, including US multi-national Mattel.
Today The Entertainer has 24 stores with at least two more expected to open this year.
Gary Grant, MD and owner of The Entertainer, told guests: "Thank you to all the team members. You are the people who have helped our business to grow and develop over the last 20 years.
"The 400-plus people who make up our staff are the people who make The Entertainer what it is."
