WELL, isn't it surprising now that the good weather is upon us that some crazy people like to spoil these lovely balmy evenings with, would you believe it, garden bonfires, as early as 3pm.
When lots of us mums have finished work, picked up the kids and then went to get on with the laundry etc for the next day. Lo and behold just when you've hung out the washing on the line then your nose whiffs that "lovely" smell of garden smoke, that tells you that some great twit, (to use the term very lightly of what I've called some of these people over the past few days) has lit a bonfire.
Why cannot these people have some compassion for others and not pollute these sunny evenings with smoke? Don't they realise the misery they can call others and why can't they just take their refuse to a household tip site like other people do?
Anyway, they should be enjoying the weather. God knows we do not get enough of it. Not to mention the fact that a lot of asthmatics have trouble breathing when the smoke gets everywhere.
Isn't there a by-law that states that bonfires should be lit only after dusk? Can someone tell me, has dusk now become 3pm?
