COMEDIAN Ted Rogers, who lived in Little Chalfont at the height of his career, has died aged 65.
Ted, renowned for his gameshow 3-2-1 with Dusty Bin, lived in Chenies Avenue and died in a London hospital of heart failure last week.
Neighbours said the bubbly entertainer was a quiet man who spent most of his time with his family.
A woman who lived near Ted said: "He might have just said hello but he wasn't talkative.
"His wife was an ex-dancer and they had two kids. She was lovely."
Another neighbour added: " He was not very show-bizzy and had a very ordinary house. I would have thought he would have lived in a huge mansion set back off the road but he didn't."
Gary Garnell, landlord of the White Lion pub in White Lion Road, said: "He did come in but not enough for me to call him a local.
"I would say he kept himself to himself and spent time with his family.
"I would see him out and about around the shops but he was a quiet old soldier. I don't even remember him moving out."
