FRUSTRATED Michael Bergamasco says he is fed up living on a flight path as planes keep disturbing him at all hours.

The 39-year-old from Crosslands, Chalfont St Peter, says he thinks the planes from Heathrow Airport have got louder over the years and says he can feel his house vibrating as they go past.

The father of two has organised a petition to present to MPs and has handed out leaflets to neighbours urging them to sign it.

Mr Bergamasco, a computer controls consultant, says the planes go over his house every five minutes.

He said: "I get woken up at 5.30am and we have to listen to the damn things all weekend. But why the heck should I move?

"People are utilising the space above my house. They just make things worse for everybody."

Mr Bergamasco said: "I have two young girls and they are suffering, it is just a constant drone. I didn't buy a house on a runway at Heathrow and that's the way I want to keep it."

A spokesman for Heathrow said: "Over the last few years, despite a steady increase in aircraft movements at Heathrow, the noise impact around Heathrow has fallen as modern aircraft replace noisier ones.

"This overall trend is fully expected to continue.

"BAA recognises that some people are affected by aircraft noise and we undertake a range of measures to mitigate the effect of noise on local communities.

"These include incentives for airlines to invest in quieter aircraft by fining aircraft that breach noise levels, by charging noisier aircraft more for landing fees and alternating runway usage."
