ANGRY Steve Brittan took his fish back to a pet shop after they died less than a week after he bought them.
Mr Brittan, of Widmer End, bought some Koi Carp from the petworld department at Focus Do It All, Bellfield Road, High Wycombe. But within a few days, the fish all died and Mr Brittan's other fish also died after coming into contact with them.
He said: "I bought about eight Koi from them but all of them died."
Mr Brittan had originally gone into the pet shop two weeks ago and bought three fish. He noticed others in a tank but was told he could not buy them until the weekend as they were diseased.
His friend went back to the shop on Friday and bought some of the fish from the tank. They were carefully introduced into Mr Brittan's state-of-the-art fish pond but started to die.
Mr Brittan said: "It's dreadful. I've lost about 23 Koi."
Mr Brittan took the fish back on Thursday to show what had happened and was given a refund.
A Focus Do It All spokesman said: "As a gesture of goodwill, The customer has received a full refund but further investigation is taking place to establish the cause of death."
