RESIDENTS are calling for the council to reopen a playing field which they say was shut a month ago for fences to be repaired.
Peter Richardson, who lives in Amersham, said the fences at the park off Raans Road, Amersham, have been repaired so the county council should reopen it before the school holidays start on Monday.
But a Buckinghamshire County Council spokesman said the playing field, which used to belong to a school, is not for public access.
