AN innovative project aimed at bringing together actors and teachers to promote drama education came to a finale at a Wycombe school.
The drama called Bridging the Gap was recently performed at Sir William Ramsay School, in Hazlemere, which has been designated arts college status.
The £23,000 project funded by South Arts, Sir William Ramsay and Buckinghamshire LEA, aimed to improve teachers, acting to develop drama education.
A Buckinghamshire County Council spokesman said: "The drama involved a series of workshops to develop and refine teachers' skills with the help of professionals from the Oxford Touring Theatre Company.
"The teachers and actors then devised and developed theatre in education pieces which were toured to participating schools."
Other schools which took part included Wycombe's Tylers Green Middle, Hazlemere CE Combined and Manor Farm Community Junior.
