A COMPANY which supplies professional lighting and associated equipment to the entertainment industry, including rock bands and the Millennium Dome, officially opened its new offices this week.

A C Lighting Ltd, which has 60 staff, moved into Centauri House in Hillbottom Road, Sands, following ten years of expansion at its former premises on the western side of High Wycombe.

The new custom-built 37,000 sq ft building, remodelled to increase the floor space by more than 40 per cent, has created two floors of high quality office accommodation, dedicated manufacturing facilities, a new service centre and warehousing.

There is also a new demonstration facility with the six metre ceiling height.

David Leggett, managing director, said: "It gives me enormous satisfaction to move AC Lighting into a location which provides a high quality working environment for a loyal and dedicated workforce."

A C Lighting, which now sells to dealers, distributors and professional users in more than 90 countries worldwide, started life providing psychedelic light shows under the name Alpha Centauri Lights.

It became synonymous with the Friars Club, in Aylesbury, before expanding into stage lighting used by leading rock bands including UFO and Status Quo.
