A MAN has been left battered and bruised after he was robbed on his way back from a night out.
The 35-year-old was cycling home along St John's Road in Penn, near High Wycombe, when two men attacked him and tried to rob him.
The incident happened shortly after midnight on December 21 and the victim was left suffering from bruising to his upper body and a black eye.
His attackers are described as being in their early 20s, one wearing light clothing and the other wearing dark clothing.
PC Paul Cullan, from Amersham Police, said: "At the time of the incident two vehicles drove by, one of which stopped but then drove off. I am appealing to the drivers or any other witnesses to contact me."
