ANDY RAMMELL gave Wanderers an early Christmas present when he fired in two goals in six minutes to secure a 2-1 win over Swansea.

Rambo Rammell put Wycombe in the driving seat last Saturday with his first-half double, but there were some anxious moments after the break as the Adams Park crowd watched the Blues almost chuck it away.

Dave Carroll, making his first start of the season after injury, was the architect behind an impressive first half performance.

But, when he went off in the second half, Wanderers lost their poise and almost handed victory to a Swansea side who have not won in 12 games.

Rammell got Blues off the mark when he headed in team-mate Niall Thompson's wayward shot on six minutes.

And then six minutes later he added number two when he volleyed home after Carroll's cross.

But the Welshmen made a real fight of it in the last 20 minutes after sub Stuart Roberts reduced the arrears with a confident low finish.

Wycombe travel to Northampton on Saturday and play host to Millwall on New Year's Day (ko 3pm).
