Matt lives and works locally, living in Burley-in-Wharfedale with his wife Mariya, and working at Skipton Building Society.
He is councillor for Wharfedale ward on Bradford Council, where he chairs a key committee.
His political interests include education, the economy, the NHS and delivering opportunity for all.
Matt is also a governor of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and serves on the executive of the Foundation Trust Governors Association, a national body helping Governors improve the way the NHS is run. He ran a small internet business and now works for Skipton Building Society.
