MORE than 200 people celebrated the 90th birthday of Buckinghamshire Association for Blind and Partially Sighted People.
BAB started in 1911 after a small group of helpers created and laid the foundations of the charity.
Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, patron of BAB, invited the association to celebrate at the grounds of Ascott House, near Aylesbury.
A marquee was set up in the cricket pavilion and flautists from the Aylesbury Music Centre provided the music.
Mike Pearson, BAB chairman, said: "I am extremely proud to be part of the association's continuing success.
"I congratulate all those concerned on this very special birthday celebrating 90 years of caring and support."
After a celebratory tea and speeches by BAB's president commander the Lord Cottesole and Mr Pearson, glasses were raised to celebrate the achievements of the last 90 years and looking forward to the next.
