LAST Saturday, members of the Pensioners' Voice branch who attended the West End Hall in High Wycombe, enjoyed old thyme music and songs from Banjovi Revival. Colin, his wife Manolita, Pauline, Joyce, Maggie and Sally entertained the members and gave them an enjoyable afternoon. Banjovi Revival has raised £6,767.56 from 1993 to December 2000 for local varied charities. Joyce Wooster, a member of the entertainers, is doing a remarkable sponsored cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats (980 miles). Anyone wishing to donate can contact her on (01844) 344829.

THE High Wycombe Dahlia Society is holding a plant stall and sale at All Saints Parish Church on Friday and Saturday (May 11 and 12), 7.30am to 5pm. On sale will be dahlia tubers, spray chrysanthemums, bedding plants, also vegetable and tomato plants and perennials.

THE Wycombe Charity Carnival was a great success on May 6. The organisers are delighted with the attendance and thank all of those who gave their support, whether a sponsor, an arena event, or a stall holder, and they wish to thank especially Margaret Mahoney for allowing the Mayor of High Wycombe to ride in her beautiful pink Cadillac. If anyone wishes to book this lovely vehicle, just telephone (01494) 524270 and ask for Margaret.
