MARLOW'S much anticipated farmer's market is back on after being cancelled earlier this year due to the foot and mouth crisis.
The market, which was set to take place in early May, will now be held on June 6.
The news has been welcomed by farmers who continue to work under the restrictions still in place in the wake of the epidemic.
Sally Philp, of New Town Farm in Bisham, is one of the chief organisers for the event on the Causeway.
She said: "It is fantastic new. Everyone is very excited about it. It is nice to have some good farming news for a change something to look forward to."
The stalls already confirmed will sell beef, lamb, pork, chicken, venison, ostrich, sausages, eggs, cheese, herbs, vegetables, apple juice, plants and Rebellion beer.
Mrs Philp said there was room for a couple more stalls. She added: "The point of this is it is local producers. You are buying from the source there is no middle man."
The Marlow Chamber of Trade and Commerce has also been a driving force behind the market.
If you have been approved by Environmental Health and would like to sell at the market call Mrs Philp on 01628 473781.
