CHESHAM Ladies Football Club moved a step closer to a league and cup double when an 11-1 thumping of Winchester Ladies at The Meadow on Sunday saw them move into the final of the League Cup.

Chesham have already claimed the Southern Region Premier Division title and now want to add the Cup to their trophy cabinet.

They will have the chance to do that when they play the final at Thatcham Town FC (ko 3pm) this Sunday.

At The Meadow last weekend, Chesham were again without keeper Steph Young and Sian Wiliams continued her comeback from injury between the sticks.

But she had little to trouble her all afternoon as Chesham bossed the encounter.

They were 1-0 up after just ten minutes when Julie Ketley latched on to Lisa Wellings' long pass.

Ketley claimed four before half time while Dawn Stocks and Michelle Humphreys added single to make it 6-0 at the break.

Dee Cox struck before Winchester grabbed a consolation.

But Chesham weren't finished with Stocks hitting four more before the end.

Chesham Ladies have joined forces with Prestwood Girls to hold training sessions for girls aged eight to 14.
