MYSTERY surrounds a burned-out car, near the John Lewis store, in Holmers Farm Way, High Wycombe.
The car has gone over a grassy embankment and been left resting against a lamppost.
Kate Spark, spokesman for High Wycombe police, said: "We have no idea how it got there but we are aware of it and we are in the process of taking it away."
She added that police believe the car is a Nissan Bluebird.
