ST Birinus Parish barbecue on Sunday, July 15, will be an opportunity to say farewell to Kate Lovesey and Phil Baul as they leave High Wycombe to undertake full-time study.

Kate and her family are moving to Bristol where Kate will be training to become a Church of England vicar. Phil and Chris Baul are moving to Sheffield where Phil will be undertaking Church Army training. Congratulations on being selected and best wishes for the future to both of them.

WYCOMBE & District Sports Association for the Disabled (WADSAD) members came away from the Aylesbury Area Disabled Club Games on June 24 and 25 with four silver and four bronze medals. Mary Connolly won silver in the javelin and discus and bronze in the light ball and skittles. Michael Thorne (team captain) won silver in the shot putt, Peter Austin silver for the 100m run and Samantha Lightowler bronze for discus and javelin.

BOOKER Horticultural Society holds its members' summer show on Friday, July 6, in Booker Memorial Hall. Although only members can enter this show, non-members will be very welcome at the talk on Staging for show and display at 8pm and to view the exhibits afterwards.
