BEACONSFIELD Rugby Club gave their promotion chances a boost with a 39-3 win over Chipping Norton last weekend.

They will clinch second spot in the Southern Counties Northern Division and a play-off place against the Southern Division winners if they beat Swindon tomorrow.

But they will be without kicker Kenny Cotter for the make or break clash. He is getting married.

Last weekend, Matthew Chicken got them off the mark, driving over for their opening try.

Winterbottom doubled their advantage before Chipping pulled a penalty back.

But that's the only score they managed as Beaconsfield bossed the second half with Richard Foster bagging a quick try before James Robinson and Jerry Badman added others.

Glen Tucker touched down twice late on and Cotter hit two conversions.
