TENNIS player Julia Bone (pictured) reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious British Tennis Coaches' Assocation's Player Plus Championships held in Nottingham.
Twelve-year-old Bone, of Knights Templar Way, High Wycombe, was among 70 of the UK's best 13-and-under tennis players battling it out at the three-day event.
The Wycombe High School pupil beat Yorkshire's Joanna Craven 7-5, 6-3 in her opening match before seeing off Rachel Hall (Leics) 6-0, 6-0.
The following day she beat Sian Roberts (Dorset) 6-3, 6-0 before going down to Georgie Stoop (Cambs) 6-2, 6-4 which cost her a semi-final spot.
Bone is a member of the LTA National Futures Programme for elite young players and earlier this year helped the Bucks U18 side win promotion to Division One in the Junior County Cup.
