Fears over cow 'acting like a bull'.

RAMBLERS using a Betws footpath are being terrorised by a cow, community councillors have been told.

Cllr Loreen Lewis said walkers using Coedcae footpath, which runs from opposite Treforus estate to Pantyffynnon, had been menaced by a Welsh Black.

“It seems that this Welsh Black is charging everything that crosses her field,” Cllr Lewis told bemused colleagues.

“She acts like a bull and whenever she sees a walker comes charging across the field with her tail held high in the air.

“People have had to get out of her way by diving into the hedge.”

Speaking after the meeting, community clerk Cerith Griffiths said he had reported the matter to county council wardens.

“It appears that this Welsh Black is a cow that thinks she’s a bull,”

he added.
