Salon burglary accused set for trial

A LLANDEILO man accused of breaking into a hairdressing salon and stealing stock worth £3,500 has elected trial by jury.
Andrew Patrick O’Connor, 24, of Flat 3, 2 Carmarthen Street, is charged with burglary at the Steil hair salon, in Rhosmaen Street, on March 19.
Llanelli magistrates granted O’Connor unconditional bail and adjourned his case until September 12 at Carmarthen, where he will be committed to the crown court for trial.
O’Connor admitted a further charge of failing to answer to his bail at Carmarthen Magistrates Court on July 25. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £15 victims surcharge.
