Time was called on a great Ammanford institution this week as the Old Cross Inn, Quay Street, shut its doors for the final time.
The pub has long been a centrepiece of the town, quenching the thirst of lunchtime shoppers and acting as the hub of much of the Ammanford’s evening revelries for more than 50 years.
Last orders were called when owner Brains Brewery failed to find a replacement for outgoing landlord John Willis, who retired on Monday.
