A Romanian man has appeared in court today accused of raping a woman in Ammanford.
Constantin Martin, aged 19, of no fixed address, was not asked to enter a plea at this stage.
His barrister, James Hartson, said he had not yet had a conference with him.
Judge Peter Heywood said it was vitally important that he received legal advice before entering a plea.
Martin, who was assisted by an interpreter, will appear at Swansea Crown Court for a second time on June 29.
He was further remanded into custody at Parc Prison near Bridgend until then.
