The Castle Street venue will screen Disney classic Homeward Bound on Saturday, February 17 at 6pm.

It celebrates the Chinese New Year of the Dog which begins the same weekend.

Prior to the screening there will be a quiz about famous dogs in film and TV and dedicated doggy snacks will be available for the pampered pooches. Burns Pet Nutrition will also be joining in on the cinema antics by providing dog owners with nutritional advice.

Founder of Dog Furiendly, Adele Pember said: “We are welcoming dogs of all shapes and sizes to be a part of this dog friendly cinema and quiz evening.

"Dog friendly cinema screenings have captured cinema-goers in London and Glasgow, so we’re super excited to bring something like it to Wales.

“The event will take place on the same weekend as the Chinese New Year of the Dog and we’re encouraging dog owners to share new experiences with their dogs throughout the year.

Anna Redfern, Proprietor of Cinema & Co Swansea, added: "We are excited to open up the cinema to our furry friends and hope they find our venue as comfortable and relaxing as our humans do."
