MORE than £1,000 has been raised by the friends and family of Nathan Carmon, to help his parents with funeral costs.

Nathan’s body was found on Thursday, July 27, in Betws. He had been reported missing on July 20, but had not been seen in July 13.

Friends of Nathan’s family have also set up a fundraising page to help with funeral costs.

“Losing a child is the most unimaginable thing for any loving parent to face and yet on top of having to face this indescribable grief and loss, to have to face the financial cost of a funeral is an unwelcome worry,” said family friend Helen Price, who created the page.

“Nathan’s parents started running a lovely cafe this year and anyone that runs their own business will know how tough it is at the start and the hours it needs to get up and running.

“Having to face going to work in order to pay for a funeral and support your other children, when you are in the midst of grief and trying to comprehend this unimaginable loss, is extremely difficult for them.

“They have not asked for help but if donations, however small, take some pressure off them, I know they would be very grateful.”
