Plaid Cymru's Jonathan Edwards has held onto his seat in Carmarthen East and Dinewfr overnight.
Jonathan turned out the party's best performance of the night.
After his win Jonathan said: “I’d like to thank the amazing electors of Camarthen East and Dinefwr. Despite a bombardment of propaganda by the state broadcaster in favour of the two establishment parties you have continued to show your faith in me and I am eternally grateful.”
“This election was called for purely cynical reasons, but if the exit polls are to be believed, it seems the Prime Minister has made a massive miscalculation.”
“No longer second class status for Wales.”
The Carmathen East and Dinewfr's results were:
Jonathan Edwards (Plaid Cymru) 16,127
David Darkin (Labour) 12,219
Harvard Hughes (Conservative) 10, 778
Neil Hamilton (UKIP) 985
Lesley Prosser (Liberal Democrates) 920
