A PRO-CELEBRITY charity football match is took place in Llandeilo last week in aid of a children’s cancer charity.

World, European and Commonwealth medalist Christian Malcolm, former Blackburn defender Colin Hendry, ex-Eastenders actor Matt Lapinskas and Pobl y Cwm star Aled Llyr Thomas all played the friendly football match at Tre-Gib Sports Facilities in Ffairfach on Sunday, June 4.

The Call Centre’s Chickehead was also picked to play for the celebrity team alongside MTV The Valleys star Aron Williams, Pancho from Dirty Sanchez, Darts player Jamie Lewis, former Swansea City players Andrew Mumford and Chris Todd and Plaid Cymru candidate for Carmarthen East and Dinefwr Jonathan Edwards.

The game between the famous faces and a local side of footballers from the town ended 3-3.
