Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses to a car driving dangerously between St Clears and Cross Hands last Sunday.
The driver of the car, a silver Citroen C2, was seen to cause damage to a number of vehicles between approximately 5pm and 5.15pm on May 21 before colliding with the central reservation of the A48, near the Pantyffynnon turning.
As a result the A48 between Cross Hands and Llanddarog was closed in both directions between 5.15pm and 7pm.
The male driving was detained under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act.
Police would like to thank the people who have already come forward and appeal to anyone who saw this car travelling along the A40 between St Clears and Carmarthen, or the A48 between Carmarthen and Cross Hands, to report what they saw to PC Chris Phillips, on the 101 number.
Officers are particularly interested to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident.
If you are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired, text the non-emergency number on 07811 311 908.
