A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital last night after falling down a 40-foot embankment in Saron.
Emergency services were called at around 8.20pm on Wednesday, May 3.
Fire crews from Ammanford, Morriston and Pontardawe utilised the Rope Rescue Unit and an unmanned aerial vehicle drone to retrieve the casualty on a stretcher.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports a young male had fallen down an embankment in the Saron area of Ammanford.
"We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and a crew in an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a teenage boy was taken to Glangwili General Hospital."
