Fans of a Towy Valley chocolate emporium will be seeing a lot more of their favourite handmade treats as the business is set to star in a new television series.

Heavenly Exquisite Desserts first opened its doors on Rhosmaen Street, Llandeilo in 2004 and has taken the cake world by storm ever since scooping several acknowledgements including being crowned Best Wedding Cake Makers in Wales for five consecutive years.

Owner Tracey Kindred has created plenty of weird and wonderful desserts for her customers over the years and was contacted by the show producers to be part of a new series.

Chocolatier Tracey said: “When we first opened we were only offered chocolate and ice-cream and over the years we have progressed onto cakes.

“Heavenly was put forward to be a part of the show and we filmed for three days straight.

“Viewers will get to see us go through the process of making and creating the whole cake.

“We are the only welsh team on the show and also the only chocolatiers.”

This isn’t the first time the business owner has been in front of the cameras as Tracey has also worked alongside The Hairy Bikers.

Extreme Cake Makers hosted by Rufus Hound takes a look at sugar specialists up and down the country and lifts the lid on the successes of a crazy, creative and elite group who go out to produce the world’s most delicious creations, turning cakes into works of art.

Across the series, Channel 4 has confirmed that viewers get to see everything from a life size Shetland pony to a four foot replica of the Statue of Liberty.

When discussing her biggest commission, Tracey recalled the time she made one of UK’s iconic buildings.

“I was contacted to re-create the O2 for the arena’s fifth anniversary. It was massive and the biggest project we have done to date.

You can catch Extreme Cake Markers daily on Channel 4 at 5.30pm from May 1.
