Dyfed-Powys Police has confirmed that the body discovered in the River Loughor was that of missing man Gary Dunn.
The body was discovered at 1.10pm on Thursday between Garnswllt and Pontarddulais.
A police spokesman said: “The family of Gary Dunn have been informed of this development, and HM Coroner has also been informed.”
Mr Dunn was last seen at around 6am on the morning of Monday, December 12, near the river by Tesco supermarket in Ammanford.
Multi-agency emergency services were called to carry out extensive land and river searches down to the Loughor estuary.
