A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital following a collision with a car in Llandovery.
Dyfed-Powys police were called to the incident at around 11.30am this morning, Wednesday, September 7.
A car and a pedestrian were involved in the collision with the female pedestrian taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A Welsh Ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called shortly before 11.30am this morning (Wednesday) to reports of a road traffic accident involving a pedestrian on Stone Street in Llandovery.
"We sent an emergency ambulance and the Wales Air Ambulance to the scene, and a woman with serious injuries was airlifted to Swansea’s Morriston Hospital."
The police are now calling on anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit on 101.
