AN ARMED man stole a BMW from a Llanelli industrial estate after threating its owner at knifepoint.

Dyfed-Powys Police has confirmed officers are investigating the aggravated robbery at a business unit on Heol Aur, Dafen Industrial Estate, around 5.15pm on Wednesday.

The man entered the building brandishing the knife and making threats before escaping with various items and the keys to the silver BMW, which he took without the owner’s consent.

The robber is described as being approximately 5’ 6” and of slim build. He had covered his face with a scarf during the robbery and was wearing a Red Cross jacket and grey tracksuit trousers with a tear in them at the time of the offence.

DI Matt Webb said: “No one was injured but the victims are obviously in shock.

“This is an unusual offence to happen in this area and we are very keen to catch the offender swiftly.

“We are carrying out extra patrols in the area to offer reassurance to residents and workers in the area.

“I urge any witnesses, or anyone with information that could help us catch the offender, to call Llanelli CID immediately on 101.”
