Y GANOLFAN Glanaman Community Centre is set to host a table top sale this Saturday, February 6.

The new venture will see the hall, on High Street, filled with bargains, and organisers are reaching out to budding sellers to get in touch.

To book a table, at a cost of £5, contact the team via the Facebook page. Set up time for sellers in 10am with access to the public at 11am.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the upkeep of the centre and community development activities for local residents.

The event will take place on the first Saturday of every month.

Looking ahead, plans are afoot for a craft/farmers market at the centre.

A spokesperson for the centre said: “If the response of our first table top event is positive, then we hope to hold a dedicated sale each month for local craft makers, fresh produce, allotment growers and the like.

“This will help support local creativity and hopefully provide an outlet for locally produced products.”

Volunteers at the centre hope to have the craft/farmers market running by the spring with the hope of becoming a centre that supports local producers by raising their profile and develop their skills to take their work towards sustainability.

The spokesperson added: “The centre will be a hub to provide advice, training workshops and networking opportunities for local producers, whilst also providing an outlet for their product and linking them with existing business support services such as Business Wales, the Wales Cooperative and funding providers.”
