TOWY Valley schoolchildren have embraced the festive spirit of giving by making up shoeboxes of treats for those less fortunate.
Pupils at Ysgol Rhys Prichard, Llandovery took part in this year's Shoebox for Romania appeal by filling boxes with toiletries and gifts for children this Christmas.
Generous year-five pupil Beatrice Warner said, "I put lots of very precious things that I treasure in my box because I think it is important not to be selfish and to think of others."
The boxes will be transported to Romania this Saturday, November 28.
