LLANDOVERY and district carnival association have donated £2,400 to local groups at their annual presentation evening.
Held at the White Hall on Friday, November 20, the recipients were Llandovery scouts, brownies and rainbows, the scout and guide hut committee, Llandovery YFC, Llandovery blind association, luncheon club, town criers, history society, junior football, Llandovery sports association (Castle fields), Towy Youth Actors and Blaenos House sensory garden appeal.
Llandovery hospital League of Friends had received a donation earlier this year towards equipment for the royal visit and annual strawberry tea.
Chairman Peter Jones thanked everyone for their continued support at their events and praised the small but dedicated committee who work hard all year to pull off a wonderful event for the town.
