FIREFIGHTERS were forced to use high-pressure fans to clear a Cwmgwili property of smoke after it filled with fumes following a nearby car fire this morning.

Crews from Ammanford and Tumble were called to the scene at 7.28am where the car was well alight.

“Due to the close proximity of the vehicle to the property, firefighters used positive pressure ventilation fans to ventilate the property which had become heavily smoke logged,” a spokesman for Mid and West Wales Fire Service said.

No one was injured but the car was completely destroyed.

Following a home safety check, the crews left the scene at 9.14am.
