LEVEL crossing maintenance work will lead to the temporary closure of the Ty Uchaf Level Crossing, Ffordd y Nant, Glanaman this Saturday and Sunday.
The road, near the Glanaman council depot, will be closed from a point 70 metres north of its junction with the A474 Cwmaman Road.
The 20-metre closure is necessary to ensure public safety to allow Centurion Traffic Management carry out urgent maintenance works to the level crossing from 5am on Saturday, November 21 and overnight to 7pm on the Sunday.
The alternative route for south bound traffic will be to proceed in a north-westerly direction along Ffordd Y Nant to its junction with Station Road.
At the junction turn right and continue in a northerly direction along Station Road to its junction with Folland Road.
At the junction, turn right and continue in a south-easterly direction along Folland Road to its junction with A474 Cwmamman Road. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north-westerly direction along the A474 Cwmamman Road to its junction with Heol y Nant. At the junction, turn right and continue in a northerly direction along Heol Y Nant to return to a point south of the closure. The opposite would apply for north bound traffic.
