AMMANFORD pooch Alfie, a Bichon Frise, has been voted a daily winner in Taylor Wimpey’s nationwide photo competition to find the UK’s cutest pets.

Following the runaway success of last year’s Pets Make A Home competition, the leading housebuilder has again given pet owners the chance to enter a photograph of their animal friend looking its most ‘at home’, and a winner was chosen each day based on a public vote.

Dan Jones’ four-year-old dog was voted as a daily winner after he submitted this adorable photo of him taking a nap on the sofa.

Dan, 33, from Ammanford, says: “Alfie is a little attention-seeker and he likes to get cosy, always nestling between me and my fiancée on the sofa – he’s definitely the boss of the house!

“It’s so nice to know that Alfie was voted a daily winner, I shared the good news on Facebook with my friends and family who all voted for him.”

The photo with the most votes each day during the competition won a fabulous pet hamper, courtesy of Armitage Pet Care, whilst the photo with the most votes overall will win £500 worth of high street vouchers.

The Pets Make A Home competition was launched on September 7 and ran until October 2. During that time, 4,251 photographs were entered into the contest and over 60,000 votes were cast for people’s favourite pet picture.

The pet photographs entered in the competition are still available to view at taylorwimpey.co.uk/pets. Helpful tips and advice on moving house with a dog or a cat can also be found by visiting taylorwimpey.co.uk/pets and watching one of two special videos.
