Ammanford residents are being urged to be on the look-out for a lost dog who broke free from her collar and ran away in the Heol Ddu area on Saturday.

Hope is a collie-cross and is white with brown markings.

She is very timid and may be hiding.

Owner Izabella Bossowska, who lives in Reading but pays a weekly bisit to her mother in Ammanford, is extremely distressed.

“Hope joined my other rescue dogs some four weeks ago,” said Izabella.

“She was so frightened of humans but instantly related to the other dogs and transformed, playing with them & racing around the garden.

“I travel weekly to my mum’s home in Heol Ddu and it was from there she bolted on Saturday.

“Hope is so loved, she is so missed and I am desperate to have her home safely.

“I would ask people living in the area to look in their barns, sheds and outhouses.”

Hope is chipped but has no collar.
