CLASSIC cars enthusiasts will take to local roads next weekend, showing off their motors while hoping to rev up some cash for charity.
Bryant and Carol Hutson, of Tywi Damp Proofing Treatments, has organised a charity car run for the Swansea MG Enthusiasts Club and are to mapping a route from Ammanford to the National Botanical Garden of Wales in aid of Ty-Olwen Hospice, Morriston with donations, also going to Paul Pugh’s treatment fund and to the Christian Lewis Children’s Cancer Charity.
The event, on Sunday, September 27, begins at the Carregamman carpark , Ammanford (opposite Wilkinson’s) where Swansea MG Enthusiasts Club will be joined by car owners from all over the country.
With MG motors figuring strongly, there will also be a chance to glimpse other eye-catching cars as other clubs will be taking part in the run too.
The cars will be assembling from 9am with the first motor leaving at 10am.
Everyone will then make their way to The National Botanical Garden, where the cars will be on display.
Entry is for all marques of cars and there is still time to enter by emailing beaconrun@gmail.com
Donations will be collected at both Ammanford and at The Garden.
