Police have confirmed a man has died following a collision on the A48 this morning.
Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of an RTC on the eastbound carriageway on the A48 between Porthyrhyd and Foelgastell at 5.45am this morning.
Two vehicles – a Peugeot van and Liebherr crane were involved – with the driver of the van sustaining fatal injuries.
The road is closed with diversions in place until further notice. Next of kin have been informed.
Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Sergeant Ian Price said, “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the RTC, or was travelling eastbound or westbound along that stretch of road at around the time of the RTC.”
