Carmarthenshire County Council is to carry out safety tests on headstones at Ammanford cemetery
SAFETY tests are to be carried out on memorials at Ammanford Cemetery.
The council has a legislative duty to ensure all memorials in the cemetery are in a safe and stable condition.
Memorials in sections AB, AD and AF are to be inspected and tested for stability from the week commencing August 24, 2015.
Memorials in a dangerous condition will be fitted with a temporary support. Please do not tamper with memorials so treated.
Families affected by this action will be contacted in writing.
