MID and West Wales Fire Authority appointed a new chair and deputy chair at its annual general meeting.
On June 3 Pembrokeshire Councillor Wynne Evans was appointed as chair of the Fire Authority while Neath Port Talbot Councillor Janice Dudley was appointed deputy chair.
Cllr Evans said: “After previously serving as Deputy Chair, it is a great honour to have been appointed as Chair of Mid and West Wales Fire Authority.
"I plan to continue to be proactive in this new role, visiting as many fire stations as possible, especially our on-call stations in rural areas.
"I look forward to the next 12 months in-spite of the difficult budgetary challenges ahead.”
Cllr Dudley added: “I wish to thank the members of Mid and West Wales Fire Authority for their support in my nominations.
"You can be confident that I will do my very best to ensure our communities are kept safe, and I look forward to working closely with the new team of officers, staff and authority members.”
