THE CASE of a Betws man, who admits stealing a wallet from a Llandybie home, has been adjourned for pre-sentence reports.

Michael Rhodri John Williams, aged 26, of 15 Treforis, entered as a trespasser into the house on May 24 and took the wallet containing bankcards and around £5 in cash.

He was remanded into custody by Llanelli magistrates and will appear again on June 18.

A HENDY driver, who failed to stop after an accident, has been fined by Llanelli magistrates.

William James Hodge, aged 32, of 73 Iscoed Road, was on Iscoed Road on September 27 when he caused the accident. He admitted to that, failing to stop and to driving without due care or attention.

He was fined a total of £535 for the offences, with five licence points, £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.

LLANELLI magistrates have ordered a Penygroes man to be issued with a restraining order following his guilty plea to a charge of harassment.

Kevin Sydney Morgan, aged 21, of 179 Waterloo Road, was also given a 12-month conditional discharge for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour at Ammanford on May 17.

He must not contact Louise Angharad Peregrine, enter her address or enter any data onto to any electronic device that refers, directly or indirectly, to her.

Magistrates also ordered Morgan to pay a £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

A CHARGE of criminal damage has resulted in a community order for a Swansea Valley man.

Glyn Paul White, aged 36, of 2 Dan Y Graig Cottages, Ystradowen, admitted he caused damage, of a value unknown, to an upvc door and to some stair spindles belonging to Stephanie Jones at Upper Cwmtwrch on April 26.

Llanelli magistrates ordered that White carry out 60 hours of unpaid work and attend 30 days of activity sessions during the next 12 months.

He must also pay a victim surcharge of £60, £85 costs and a criminal courts charge of £150.

THREE motorists have been fined by Llanelli magistrates for failing to wear a seatbelt.

Jonathan Robert Leonard Morgan, aged 25, of 28 Tyn Y Bonau Road, Pontarddulais, was found guilty in his absence of the offence, which happened in Cross Hands in Spetember, and was fined £200 with £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Phillip Jonathan Nicholas, aged 54, of Deildre, Llannon, was fined £40 with £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge after admitting not wearing a belt when driving through Kidwelly in September.

Also fined £100 with £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge was Michael Anthony Williams, aged 50, of 81 Heol Bryngwili, Cross Hands, who admitted not wearing a seatbelt at Gorslas in September.
