The search for missing 11-year-old Cameron Comey has continued this morning, Dyfed-Powys Police has confirmed.

The youngster has been missing since Tuesday, February 17, after reports he had fallen into the River Towy at Carmarthen.

Despite an extensive search operation involving police, fire, inshore lifeboats and kayakers, thr schoolboy remains missing.

Operations are set to continue today "as soon as the tide levels are stable," a police spokesman said.

The spokesman added: "There is a detailed search plan in place, and we are working through that meticulously.

"The start and end times of the search operation each day depends on tide times and water levels, as well as the overall weather conditions."

A specially trained officer is continuing to support the family and is keeping them informed at this incredibly difficult time.
