LLANELLI magistrates have fined ten motorists for speeding.

CHARLOTE Nicole Davies, aged 27, of 8 Cwrt y Glyn in Carmel, was found guilty of travelling at 42mph at Nantycaws in April. She was disqualified for driving for six months and fined £400.

BRENDAN Neville James, aged 26, of 3 Derwen Road, Cwmawr, Tumble, was fined £200 and disqualified for driving for 21 days after he admitted to driving at 114mph on the A48 dual carriageway near Nantycaws in May.

DAVID John Montgomery, aged 32, of 82 Cwmaman Road, Garnant, was fined £200 with three licence points for driving at 35mph on a 30mph limit road in Glanaman in May.

ERYL Ann Thomas, aged 47, of 41 Heol y Parc, Hendy, admitted she drove at 37mph on Iscoed Road, Hendy - where the limit is 30mph - in May and was fined £80 with three licence points..

KERINA Louise Rees, aged 26, of Brodawel in Llanwrda, broke a 30mph limit at Ammanford in April by driving at 40mph. She admitted the offence and was fined £125.

GEMMA Louise Brown, aged 29, of 29 Treforis, Betws, admitted she drive at 35mph in Llanelli in May and was fined £80 with three licence points.

ROSEMARY Vivien Davies, aged 56, of Woodlands, Tabernacle Road, was also fined £80 with a £20 victim surcharge and her licence endorsed with three points after she pleaded guilty to driving at 35 miles per hour in Glanaman in March.

DAVID John Billings, aged 41, of Maesglas, was found guilty in absence of driving at 40mph at Llanwrda on May 2. He received three licence points and must pay a fine of £200.

THOMAS Eifion Davies, aged 70, of Bolgoed, 35 Alltiago Road in Pontarddulais, admitted doing 35mph on Iscoed Road, Hendy, in April. He was fined him £80, but a second charge of failing to identify a driver was withdrawn.

SOPHIE Louise Elias, aged 26, of 80 Gate Road in Penygroes, admitted she travelled at 40mph at Blaenau Road, Llandybie, in April. The limit is 30mph. She was fined £80 and saw her licence endorsed with three points.

Along with fines and other penalties, the culprits were charged £85 costs and ordered to pay a £20 legal surcharge.
