A NEW car wash business could be on its way to Ammanford if local planners agree.
Plans submitted to Carmarthenshire County Council by Martin Uzukwu would see a hand car wash facility being erected at the former Castle Garage site on High Street.
This would involve the erection of two canopies for the washing and the siting of a portable building to create a toilet and waiting area.
In a report to the council, the applicant states the site is currently under-utilised and is currently fenced off and unused and is currently in a poor state of repair with the hard standing breaking up and boundary wall falling down.
If the plans are approved, access to the facility would be via a one-way system, exited onto High Street and the business, which will operate in daylight hours only, would use low usage machinery that would generate no more noise that a domestic use machine.
