AN AMMAN Valley man drove without insurance, Llanelli Magistrates Court heard.

Cellan Iwan Williams, aged 40, of 227 Cwmaman Road, Garnant, admitted the offence, which happened in Glanaman in April and was fined £120, with £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge. He will have three penalty points added to his licence.

A LLANODVERY man has been saved from a driving ban because it would cause significant hardship to his family.

Guy Tristam Ayling, aged 44, of College House, Llandovery College, had driven at 44 miles per hour at Cwmann in March- the limit there is 30 miles per hour.

Llanelli Magistrates issued four penalty points for the offence, which Ayling admitted, but did not disqualify under the totting up system, as it would cause suffering for his family.

He was fined £535 with £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.

A TUMBLE motorist has been fined by Llanelli Magistrates £80 with a £20 victim surcharge for speeding.

Adrian Robert John Ellis, aged 57, of 16 Tyisha Road, pleaded guilty to driving at 45 miles per hour at Porthyrhyd, in April- the limit there is 30 miles per hour.

His licence was endorsed with three points.

SPEEDING on a dual carriageway has costs a Betws man £80 after Llanelli magistrates fined him.

Howard Aled Griffiths, aged 29, of 112 Ffordd Y Glowyr, Betws, admitted he drove at 86 miles per hour on the A48 Llanddarog in April.

He also received three penalty points and must pay a £20 victim surcharge.

AN AMMANFORD business has been fined £400 after they failed to notify the police of the identity of a driver thought to have committed an offence.

Tywi Specialists Ltd, of 27 Ashgrove, admitted to the offence, which happened in May in Llanwrtyd, and Llanelli Magistrates also ordered them to pay £85 costs.
